A Lagos pharmacy Med Mark has been called out by social media users for selling hand sanitizer for N19,950 in the wake of the coronavirus disease in Nigeria.
Many have complained about the exorbitant increase in price of hand sanitizers and masks since the FG announced that a case of Coronavirus has been recorded in Nigeria.
Sanitizers and disposable face masks are safety measures against the virus and many vendors have inflated the price.
Taking to Twitter, lawyer and activist Sega Links posted a photo of the hand sanitizer with the price tag and asked that they be called out by his followers.
“Like? It’s just a difficult thing being truly Christian and a business person at the same time. Outrageous profits. I’ve been ranting in my status since. 500ml Enliven sanitizer that we use to bathe sef for free at work is 19k in medmark? We are our own enemies – Man! Pathetic”, he wrote.
