In other news, Nigerian rapper, Ycee, last year, named Naira Marley, as the biggest artiste in Nigeria.
Ycee took to Twitter to make this known, adding that most people would want to deny it because of the industry. .
He wrote: “Hope say una know say Naira Marley na the biggest Naija artiste, but based on ‘industry’ una go wan deny”.
The popularity of the singer seems to be on the rise though. Recall that days ago students of Obafemi Awolowo University left their lecturer dumbfounded after they were seen screaming and dancing to one of Naira Marley’ hit track. And not too long ago, pupils of a government secondary school turned his song ‘Opotoyi’ into a national anthem on the assembly ground.
